How often have you told yourself “I’ll go to bed earlier tonight” or “I’ll just have one glass of wine“—only to have your best of intentions completely fail you?

Sometimes it’s best to laugh at the lies we tell ourselves every day and remember that we’re only human. Lauren Hom is a 25-year-old, Brooklyn-based designer and letterer whose work will make you do exactly that.

The hilarious graphics found on her blog, Daily Dishonesty (which has now been made into a book), are refreshing reminders that you’re not alone when your day goes awry. (You can also catch them on Instagram.)

Just don’t want to know.

After-dinner snacks include pizza.

Don’t ruin this moment for me.
