Valentine’s Day is the time to be cheesy, so if you celebrate by cooking something heart-shaped or pink pink pink, you’re doing it right. These dessert recipes are chocolaty, fruity, and occasionally heart-shaped… a.k.a. ideal for February 14.

Whether you love rich chocolate brownies, cupcakes, ice cream, or bite-size desserts, there’s something here you’ll drool over. We’ve included Paleo, vegan, and dairy-free desserts too, so you can still enjoy something sweet, whether or not you and your S.O. are eating healthy this month.

1. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Brownies

If we’re being real, these brownies definitely don’t look healthy. But believe us (or the ingredient list) when we say they’re gluten-free, Paleo, and free of refined sugars. Here’s the secret: All the chocolaty goodness comes from cocoa powder, and the glaze is made with coconut oil, maple syrup, more cocoa powder, and fresh strawberries.

2. Vegan Funfetti Cupcakes

There’s never a bad time to add rainbow sprinkles to your life, especially when they’re inside cupcakes that taste like Funfetti. Childhood birthday parties, meet adult Valentine’s Day. Vegan butter is key here, but besides that, you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry already.

3. Chocolate Raspberry Coconut Cups

These Reese’s-like chocolate cups are so good, we wish we could find them at a grocery store. Luckily, they’re pretty easy to make. Like, in and out of the kitchen in 30 minutes easy. The vegan treats are also perfect to share, so bring a few to your coworkers, leave some out for your S.O., and snag a few for yourself.

4. Salted Caramel Truffles

Truffles that aren’t just tiny balls of butter and sugar? We didn’t think it was possible either. Luckily, these still taste more like a truffle than an energy ball but are made with good-for-you ingredients like dates and cashews. Coconut sugar gives ’em some more sweetness, and you can never go wrong with a dark chocolate drizzle.

5. Chocolate Heart Poptarts

How cute are these copycat Pop-Tarts?! Unlike the store-bought kind, these guys are vegan and will come out of the oven all ooey-gooey. Think of them as a lava cake-shortbread hybrid stuffed with chocolate coconut filling.

6. Strawberry Champagne Sorbet

Let’s go over the pros of this dessert: It’s three ingredients, one of those is champagne, and it takes 10 minutes to prep. Sign us up! You will need an ice cream maker, according to the directions, but you could also make it nice cream-style and add a few frozen bananas to the blender before freezing.

7. Chocolate Mousse Raspberry Parfaits

This dessert is key if you’re low on time and want something foolproof. You only need four ingredients to put it together: coconut cream, raspberries, cocoa powder, and maple syrup. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet but will also satisfy your sweet tooth for the night.

8. Paleo Magic Cookie Bars

Paleo desserts are sort of a unicorn, especially when all the ingredients are ones you’re actually used to buying. These magic cookie bars will make your kitchen smell like warm Nutella, so get pumped. Besides nuts, they’ve got honey, strawberries, coconut oil, and dark chocolate morsels inside.

9. Chocolate Stuffed Raspberries

OK, guys, these are truly the cutest low-effort dessert known to man. You need three things: fresh raspberries, white chocolate chips, and dark chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate, then use a narrow spoon to pour a little drop of chocolate into each raspberry. You’ll be popping these back like candy.
