Tried these as an experiment after making an Indian dish. They’re very good (& fattening & addictive??)

  • Yield: 1 lb Paneer Fries
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Total: ~1/2 hr
  • Active: 10 minutes

Ingredients (3)

  • Fresh/Cryovac Paneer – 1 lb block (Don’t use frozen)
  • Oil for deep frying (canola is fine)
  • Salt, Indian Chili powder (or Cayenne), Garam Masala

Instructions

  1. Cut the block of paneer into french-fry sized strips ( your choice of thickness)
  2. Heat oil in a Dutch oven/large pot to 350F (I like to use the new laser, non-contact thermometers). Deep fry until golden and slightly browned.
  3. Remove with slotted spoon and turn onto paper towels to absorb excess oil. Toss with a few pinches of Garam Masala, Chili powder to taste and salt. Enjoy! I don’t use any condiments with these, but feel free to experiment
