Not many people have enjoyed the taste of muskrat. Not many people eat them, because you only have them in marshy areas. Most people wouldn’t be reluctant to try them, because they are a member of the rat family, but muskrats are som eof the best meat there is to eat. There is no fat, because they only eat roots in the marsh.

Ingredients (3)

  • six muskrats
  • 1/2 cup of sage
  • white flour

Instructions

  1. You cut the muskrats into three pieces. You fill large pot with water add saage. Then add muskrats. Boil them for 45 minutes.
  2. Take out of pot and smother them in flour. Add half an inch of olive oil. Cut up three large onions. Pre-heat frying pan. Place muskrats in large frying pan and add onions.
  3. Fry muskrats for about 15 minutes on each side.
