- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 Tablespoons cocoa
- 3 Tablespoons buttermilk
- 8 oz. by weight, powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
This frosting goes with Buttermilk Chocolate Cake. It is a stiffer frosting. To me, the candy-barlike consistency contrasts well with the cake.
- Bring butter, cocoa and buttermilk to boil
- Take off heat and mix in powdered sugar and vanilla.
