Confession: We have an addiction. We've tried to stop, but refreshing our Instagram feed has become a near-hourly habit. It entertains us on our lunch break, passes time during TV commercials, and serves as the perfect distraction when we're waiting in line.
And while there's nothing wrong with mindlessly perusing pics of puppies, cocktails, and sunsets, we started thinking: Why not search for something a little more useful during that time? And thanks to the thousands of trainers, yogis, and athletes who actively post, we've discovered that a simple swipe of a finger can also introduce us to major motivation to hit the gym, mat, or trails.
Using recommendations from readers, experts, and Greatist staffers, we found the top 25 accounts (though there were plenty of others we love that couldn't fit here!) to give that extra push you need to reach your fitness goals. Start with them, and you'll be sure to discover many more fit-minded folks as you fall down the Instagram rabbit hole (don't say we didn't warn you). Ready, set, start scrolling!

Who better to inspire you to “just do it” than the company who invented the catchphrase? While we dig the original Nike account, this running-specific page truly inspires us to hit the track, trail, or road with stunning shots of people pounding the pavement all over the globe (in awesome kicks). Case in point: this recent post captioned, "Save gas. Go by foot."
I used to move very, very carefully anytime I was in a bikini, lest anything wiggle or jiggle.👙 I love getting older and wiser.👵☝️Sure, I've been leaner than I am currently. (In the winter and spring, I'm usually about 2 percentage points higher in body fat than I am in the summer and fall - 20 vs. 18 percent, respectively. I love what my friend Jason C. Brown has to say on this topic: "I'm a mammal. Mammals get fatter in the winter!"🐻😂) But with every passing year, with more experience and with more attention paid to body-love habits, I move with more freedom, regardless of the circumstances. Today I did 10 rounds of 10 jump squats followed by 10 sand stride-to-sprints on the beach in a flesh-toned bikini.🌊 This is my body. It is strong and healthy and capable of so much.💪 For those who not like it, I happily extend a giant glittery middle finger to them. If you're on board with what I'm saying, on the other hand, tell me: How do you move with more freedom than you used to? #liftweightsfaster #beachedition #bodylove #squatsanydamnplace #wearinganydamnthing [PS I was traveling on my jump squats because if I stayed put, the sand would get pulled out from under my feet by the water.😄]

Fit Tip: It's the Weekend...So, Stay in Bed for Your Workout! Reason: The bed actually can be an effective place to perform both cardiovascular and strength protocols. Just like Balance Disc or Bosu Ball, the bed can assist in development of proprioception, which is basically the feedback loop between the body and the brain. So, simply perform 2 to 3 Sets of as many Push-up, Planks or Alternating Arm Extensions in Bridge Position (pictured here) as you can do in 60 Seconds! #workout #weekend #jaystip #really #whoknew #exercise #sleeping #fitness #sundayfunday #fitspiration #motivation #jaycardiello #offthescale #picoftheday #gymtime #getyoked #core #strength #organic #momstobe #newmoms

It's Monday and I'm so tired from subbing classes and running around all weekend. (Yay!) The calendar says Monday but I'm tired and so taking it easy. There can be a lot of pressure to keep up even though the importance of rest is becoming increasingly well known. Still I encounter so many symptoms of a sick society. My niece designed a yoga sequence for gym class and the teacher told her it was too relaxing. I emailed her principal who didn't care, said it had to fit in the constraints of PE standards. Never mind these kids are stressed to the max. I see psychology studies that say the cause of depression is a vitamin D deficiency, not a shortage of time spent playing outside in the sunshine. A lot of people ignore the subtle signs in themselves that something is wrong. They're fulfilling the demands of society, but feel something is off and blame themselves when it's the expectations that are sick. But here's the kicker: there is no anonymous society. We are society. That means we can shape the future. By prioritizing rest and being unapologetic about it, we can inspire others to take time for the same. By playing in the park with fluorescent leggings even though you're over 30 and should probably be wearing more sensible clothes sitting on a proper chair, you're inspiring other people to get out there and play. Society is sick. Very sick. But we have the power to change that. By taking care of ourselves, by being kind, by clearing our energy blocks so we can shine shine shine and inspire everyone who comes in our path. Expectations be damned. I do what feels good. Happy Monday. I hope yours is full of whatever fills your soul.
