With period underwear ads plastered on New York subways and companies offering paid menstrual leave, periods aren't as taboo as they used to be. Period Piece is here to remind us that it's pretty great being an ovulating woman in 2016 (minus the tampon tax, of course). The humorous video series explores menstruation throughout history—from proper Victorian women cursing their cramps to 1920s Brooklynites shyly purchasing pads—showing the struggles and superstitions surrounding it.
