Nothing kills a workout’s buzz like a muscle cramp or stitch. While no one really knows why cramps happen or how to totally prevent them, preparing for a workout can minimize the likelihood of getting one. One of the best ways to avoid sudden, sharp muscle pains is to stay hydrated in addition to stocking up on electrolytes like sodium and potassium.
