Eric Perez, O.D. is a NBEO board certified optometrist at Dr. Perez & Associates located in Central Florida. He is experienced in visual refractive techniques, contact lenses, and eye diseases. He received externship training at prominent sites, such as the Gainesville VA Hospital, where he attended daily lectures and weekly grand rounds at Shands Medical Center at the University of Florida. He obtained his doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale in 2007. Prior to this, he received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2003. While in optometry school, he was selected to participate in the demanding honors program, which provided him with the opportunity to develop professionally beyond the limits of the conventional curriculum. As a result, he was awarded an honors certificate of graduation with professional distinction. Upon graduation, he was also awarded the primary care clinical achievement award. This is an award presented to the graduate who has demonstrated excellence in primary eye care. In his free time, he is an avid traveler and enjoys exploring different festivals around the world with his wife of 5 years.
