You may recognize me from my frequent gym appearances. I’m that girl navigating the weight room like it’s her job. Which, coincidentally, it is. As a NYC-based health and fitness writer, editor, and certified personal trainer, I’ve written for publications including Vital Juice, MensFitness.com, MensHealth.com, and Star magazine as well as FitChicNYC.wordpress.com where I documented my Big Apple fitness adventures. This past year I crossed a personal goal off my fitness bucket list by completing my first half-marathon (three months prior to the race I only had two 5k/3.1 mile runs under my belt). I embrace fitness, and while some may call it an obsession, I’d rather call it a healthy addiction.Note: While I am a certified personal trainer, nothing should take the place of a doctor’s medical advice. My most troublesome weakness is... I have no willpower when it comes to peanut butter. I also suffer from what I affectionately call “split exercise personality.” Intrigued by the latest workouts, you’ll find me CrossFitting on Monday, testing a new barre workout on Tuesday, TRX’ing on Wednesday, and sweating it out at Bikram yoga on the weekends.I'm looking forward to learning more about... As a newbie runner, I’m ingesting all the research I can find about proper form and nutrition. I’m excited to hear more tips from running experts in hopes of improving my stride.
