To say sports are my life may be the understatement of a lifetime. Completely engulfed by soccer from the age of 5, I have played, worked, and/or coached the sport nearly every day of my life for the last 20 years. A native of Grand Prairie, Texas (yes, the home of the one and only Selena Gomez), I played soccer at and managed to graduate from Harvard University in 2009. After college, I moved to Denver, Colorado, where I have been battling the Rocky Mountain altitude while playing for the Colorado Rapids of MLS.It wasn’t really until the last few years that I ever seriously viewed soccer as means of maintaining personal health and fitness; it was always just something I loved and did because it was/is the perfect outlet for everything else (i.e. creativity, stress release, etc.). But training and living as a college, and now, as a professional athlete have given me a tremendous appreciation for how health and fitness directly affect my general happiness and for how I can help demonstrate that to others as well.My most troublesome weakness is... a three-way tie between Oh’s Cereal, vanilla (I know, borrriiinnngg) ice cream, and Mamba Fruit Chews. No dinner is complete without one of these three gems for dessert.I'm looking forward to learning more about... how to stay more disciplined with my diet.
