The Boob Trend (Yep) We Can All Get Behind

If Chidera Eggerue (a.k.a. The Slumflower) isn't on your radar, she should be. She's a 23-year-old blogger who started the movement #SaggyBoobsMatter after years of feeling insecure about her breasts, which aren't as perky or round as the ones she saw projected in the media.

Though getting plastic surgery is a totally legit option, Eggerue chose not to go that route. And in this case, we're glad—the movement she launched instead has taken off and helped normalize different types of breasts.

"I created the hashtag #SaggyBoobsMatter because women are shamed when their bodies don't appease the male gaze," Eggerue wrote on Instagram. "Saggy boobs are underrepresented. Being underrepresented makes you feel alien to society."

We give Eggerue major props for speaking out against the ridiculous ideas people have about how breasts should look. Boob-related insults started in middle school ("itty-bitty titty committee" and "pepperoni nipples," anyone?) and pretty much haven't stopped since, so this movement is long overdue. All boobs are beautiful, and the saggy ones are no exception.

Whether or not you have saggy boobs, there's probably some part of your body you don't love, you're insecure about, or you don't see reflected in mainstream media. Whatever it is, it's yours. And because of that, it's beautiful. Our bodies do incredible things every day—breasts feed pretty much the entire human race, remember?—so cut yours a little slack.
