There are three things I hate about contact lenses: They cost a small fortune, take forever to arrive in the mail, and require that you wait on hold with your eye doctor’s office for hours to order more.

Three things my new contact lens brand, Hubble, did for me this month: contacted my doctor to get my prescription for me, mailed me 30 days worth of daily lenses within six days of placing my order (six days!!!), and charged me $33 for the whole shebang—without requiring me to go through insurance. It’s 10/10 (or you could say 20/20) the best thing to ever happen to my eyes.

I’ve worn biweekly contact lenses since I was 13—dailies were never an option for me because they’re typically way more expensive than longer-wear lenses (fun fact: Hubble lenses aren’t). Fine, but that means calling my eye doctor every three months, then waiting an eternity for them to arrive—or worse, trying to get to the office at the arbitrary and extremely inconvenient times it’s open (10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a 30-minute break for lunch, anyone?).

All that and the contacts would run me a couple hundred dollars. Just to SEE THINGS.

Hubble also saves me the pain of wearing a slightly ripped contact lens because my new boxes haven’t arrived yet (true story). Plus, for someone with super-dry eyes who has never worn anything but the eye-doctor-recommended-and-approved lenses, they do the trick.

Not ready to sign up for a whole month? No sweat. Your first two weeks of lenses are FREE (or free-ish—you just have to pay $3 for shipping and handling). Just go online, enter your prescription and eye doctor’s name, and you’re all set.

I’m a cynical 20-something, so I (obviously) don’t believe in magic. But if I weren’t, I would say that there are some seriously supernatural forces at play here. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. But with Hubble, it’s just true.

Just a heads up that on occasion we partner with awesome brands to bring you products that we know you’ll love and, if by chance you click on a link and purchase it, we may collect a referral fee as a result. But don’t worry, it doesn’t cost you anything extra and we wouldn’t recommend a product if we didn’t love it as much as we love puppies.
