All those tweets, Instagrams, and petitions about body positivity have helped inspire a huge shift in the types of ads featured on London’s subways and buses. The city’s mayor recently pledged to ban all billboards on public transportation that show “unhealthy or unrealistic body images.” The press release doesn’t mention specifics, but the rule would likely apply to the controversial Protein World ads (see below) from last summer.
