Sometimes all it takes is a change in mindset — no matter how small — to turn a crappy day into a good one. To help you shift into a happier gear, we’ve rounded up five things from around the web that inspire and delight us, and we hope they’ll do the same for you. We’ll be sharing our favorite happiness-boosters each week, so be sure to check back — and share your own in the comments below!

1. This adorable picture of a baby hippo at the Dublin Zoo

Not gonna lie: We’re kind of obsessed with baby hippos now, all thanks to this picture. Head on over to Google image search and type in “baby hippo.” Prepare to smile, “ooohhh,” and “awwww” — a lot.

2. This video series of a man who reenacts conversation’s he’s had with his two-year-old daughter

Here’s the twist: Instead of acting out these conversations with his daughter, the father reenacts them with the help of another full-grown man. As is to be expected, hilarity ensues.

3. This, the official Tumblr for Grumpy Cat

Grumpy Cat has become quite the internet sensation, so it’s only fitting that there be an entire Tumblr devoted to the cranky feline. Visit often for updates in the life of a Grumpy Cat — and a good chuckle.

4. This list of 60 of the world’s happiest facts

Two of our favorites: “Otters hold hands when sleeping so they don’t drift away from each other” and “For someone, somewhere in the world, today is the most amazing day of their life.”

5. This video of an 80-year-old double amputee going sky-diving

Human rights activist Malcolm Lambert (who passed away in July 2012) lost both of his legs in 1996, but he maintained his drive to help others. So he came up with an innovative fundraising campaign for human rights projects: He’d go skydiving. His conclusions after touching down? “I think we should just do the best we can while we’re here, and not cause pain to anybody. Justice for everybody. Anyone can do it. Look at me — I’m doing it.”
