We tried this pillow ourselves and def agree with reviewers. It’s one of Tempur-Pedic’s softer pillows — but it’s still a solid foam, so it’s not squishy soft like you’d get with an extra-soft feather pillow.

It’s a great pick for anyone who wants to find a happy medium between adequate neck support and a marshmallowy feel. It’s also a good pick if you’re really into trying a Tempur-Pedic pillow, but don’t have tons of cash to drop on one.

We picked this for side sleepers because the “Med” and “Hi” options are 6.5 inches tall, which is tall enough to keep your head supported when you’re sleeping on your side.

People with smaller body frames will prob find the “Med” option comfier (it’s softer, so it’s a little shorter when you’re lying on it), and people with larger body frames will likely get more support from the “Hi.”

While we love the chilly feel of this one, it’s also pretty tall, firm, and HEAVY. So while Tempur-Pedic says it’s a good pick for any sleeping position, we think it’s a better pick for side and back sleepers — stomach sleepers and people that like a little squish should (unfortunately) steer clear.

We picked this pillow for people with neck pain because it’s got that classic, contoured shape and is available in the right height options for neck support.

Evidence suggests that pillows 10 centimeters tall (about 4 inches) are best for maintaining the natural curve in the necks of back sleepers and reducing neck muscle activity in side sleepers — and the Tempur-Neck pillow’s medium-size option is 4 inches tall (woot!).

Keep in mind that that’s not a hard and fast rule, though. It’s totally possible you find something shorter or taller to be a better fit for easing your neck pain.

We tried this pillow and def thought it was supportive, but it’s also a little bit stiff. It’s not nearly as heavy as some of Tempur-Pedic’s other pillows, which is a plus if you tend to toss and turn and take your pillow with you as you do it.

Keep in mind that pillows with shredded foam fills are usually less supportive than solid foam pillows, but some people LOVE the plush softness they bring to the table.

Basically, all of Tempur-Pedic’s pillows are made using their “Tempur Material” — which is that soft foam you prob remember from those old commercials with the glass of wine.
