The body’s signals for fullness can be subtle. It’s easy to accidentally eat too much with a loud, entertaining TV show blasting in the background. To prevent overeating, turn off the tube during a meal and concentrate on chowing down. Tuning into the body’s needs makes it easier to maintain healthy weight (and eating habits).

Do It Today: Pay attention to the food — not the TV or computer screen — during mealtime to avoid overeating.
