AboutI've been drawn to the kitchen from an early age - it's where I feel happiest and in my element. I start most days thinking about what I'll cook for dinner before I've even considered breakfast. Pretty much, I live to eat! I started The Corner Kitchen blog in 2009 to share my love of good food & cooking, and to show that no matter how small your kitchen (seriously small, in my case!), all it takes is a little creativity to create wonderful meals. Starting a blog also introduced me to an ever-growing love of photography. I love scouring the Greenmarket on the weekend and cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I'm a triathlete, avid cyclist & runner, and occasional yoga-goer. I completed my first triathlon in 2008 and was instantly hooked! Since then I've completed numerous sprint & olympic distance races and 3 Half Ironman races. Now, it's only a matter of time before I register for an Ironman. While I have a huge sweet tooth, healthy cooking & eating are the core to maintaining my active lifestyle. Eating healthy can, and should, always taste good...food is one of the greatest joys in life and should be enjoyed! I'm a believer in not denying ourselves the foods we crave (like ice cream cones and chocolate chip cookies), but at the same time understanding that moderation is key.
