AboutFavorite splurge food: Trader Joe's Honey Mints Go-to fitness routine: I love some crossfit routines my trainer made for me. My go-to one is Helen which includes a .25 m run, 21 kettlebell swings (30 lbs), 12 pull ups (80 lb of assistance). I do that five times for time. And I love it. Favorite way to de-stress: I enjoy taking quiet moments to read and write. I have journaled since I was in the second grade. My journal gives me an outlet to process my stress and acknowledge what's happening in my life. My journal also gives me a way to look back and see common themes in my life and places I have grown and can grow. Why I'm a greatist: I am a greatist because I am a 30-something, married African American woman with two dogs and a really cool husband...who happens to live in Omaha, Nebraska, and has to figure out how to workout every single day (I've been working out every day for the past two years). I love exploring clean eating, emotional eating, whole health and inspiration with others. I believe in the power of community and the power of a healthy community. I am a greatist because I want to contribute and support a community that wants to be the healthiest ever.
