Eugene "Bo" Babenko is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in sports and orthopedics. He achieved his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus. Since high school he began on a path to work with the human body. As a football player in high school and then at Wagner College he spent time interning with the Chiropractor and Athletic Trainers that worked with the teams. In college he was "pre-medicine" and interned with an orthopedic surgeon. After spending time in a few different physical therapy clinics the choice was clear. He achieved a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology on his way to PT school and was beginning to run marathons. In May of 2008 during a football game he was tackled and tore his ACL. Upon recovering he switched to triathlon to lessen the wear and tear on the operated knee. In 2010 one of his patients following a hip surgery asked when he could start deadlifting 400 pounds again... huh? "I do this thing called CrossFit, you should try it out" and after a few classes, Bo's mind was made up. He has been involved with CrossFit since 2010 and also works a biomechanical specialist in the realm of sleep and sleep positioning.
