Favorite splurge food: Peach Cobbler
Go-to fitness routine: I like my yoga hot. I make it to my Power Vinyasa class three times a week, and I try to run on my off days.
Favorite way to de-stress: I de-stress with my camera in hand photographing my amazing city, the beach, my family, the backyard, anywhere.
Why I'm a greatist: On my blog, I give myself a challenge every 30 Days, and I work toward that goal with open eyes, a sense of humor, and my camera. I realized very early on that more than changing myself, my blog has become a platform that inspires and encourages others. Inspiring, helping, and supporting my readers and the people around me on their way to who they want to be has become my passion. And it's this passion that makes me a greatist.

Instagram and Food Porn
I'm fine with Instagrammed food porn as long as it actually looks good. So often the filters make the food look closer to gross than appetizing, which is never inspiring or appetite inducing.
I Challenge You! – retrain your brain
Great post! I've been thinking a lot about these issues as I made dramatic changes in my diet for health reasons. (I'm newly gluten free.) The new diet is demanding I look at some of these situations differently. No more celebratory desserts, for example. So I like your idea of using an activity as a way to "redirect myself". Thanks!
