Welcome to GreatistYou, a new social experiment where we see what happens when five people decide to change their health—and broadcast their journeys for everyone to see. Four goals, five contestants, and six weeks to crush said goals for the promise of a better life (oh, and $1,000!).

For taking on such a major life change, Jasmine (@greatistjasmine) is making this all look easy. From resisting temptation in the form of chocolate-covered strawberries to the simple act of bringing leftovers for lunch, she's nailing her Whole30 journey and keeping up with her exercise routine while she does it.

Jasmine's also taking on classes from Pure Barre and reportedly has an ab (woohoo!) from one week of classes.


  • We're going to assume Brandon (@greatistbrandon) resisted the urge to punch out his colleague and steal said colleague's dessert plate, despite the hint of malice in his latest Instagram post.
  • How do you eat when your parents visit? We hope that Darby (@greatistdanda) will be able to keep up with her daily training while hosting her parents this week. Guest fatigue is a real thing, even when you're hanging out with the people who had to change your diapers.
  • Oops! Regina (@greatistregina) made a rookie mistake by going all the way to the gym before realizing she had forgotten her workout clothes. No big deal, though. According to the wise words of an Instagram commenter: "It's not a rest day... it's a recovery day." Yeah, that's the ticket!
  • Plus, even Jessi (@greatistmentor) had to skip the gym due to external circumstances, proving it happens to everyone! Of course she still managed to fit in a quick workout on the patio.
