Healthified Strawberry Margarita
This Cinco de Mayo, skip the salt and store-bought, sugar-laden margarita mixes and opt for this au natural healthier Strawberry Margarita. This berry-delioius drink is made with fresh strawberries, which are an excellent source of vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. The berries add figure-friendly flavor to this typically artifcial frozen cocktail. So put on some Jimmy Buffet, break out the blender, and enjoy this fresh light strawberry margarita!
Recipe: Strawberry Margarita
What You’ll Need:
3 cups of fresh or frozen strawberries
1/3 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons agave
3/4 cup Tequila (look for 100% de Agave)
1/4 cup all-natural triple sec or orange juice
3 cups of ice
4 fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
What to Do:
- Place the first 6 ingredients into the blender, and pulse until well combined.
- Next, add the ice and blend on high until smooth.
- Garnish with remaining fresh strawberries, and enjoy!
