Stress can cause some pretty weird feelings, and butterflies in the stomach definitely make the list. But those butterflies are a good sign that the body is functioning like it should.
Recipe: Apple Cider Margaritas
Here at Greatist, we believe in taking a day off. Instead of our regular programming Saturdays, our writers get a chance to write about living the greatist lifestyle and, basically, whatever they want. This is one of those awesome articles. Enjoy!
Summer may be out of arm’s reach, but that doesn’t mean we need to retire this traditional summer-time cocktail. We swapped out the salt for sugar, lime juice for apple cider, and skipped the simple sugar all together. What we ended up with is a deliciously simple cocktail that will warm our hearts even as the cold weather rolls in.
Apple Cider Margaritas
Serves two. Adapted from How Sweet Eats
What You’ll Need:
2 ounce gold tequila
2 ounce triple sec
10-12 ounces apple cider (we used Trader Joe's Spiced Cider)
Cinnamon + sugar for glass rimming
Apple slices for garnish
What To Do
- Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on a plate, run an apple segment around the edge of the glass and press the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat the rim.
- Add ice, tequila, and triple sec.
- Fill the rest of the glass with apple cider and stir (or shake, if you're feeling fancy).
- Garnish with apple slices (feel free to sprinkle extra cinnamon or add a cinnamon stick, too!)
- Drink Responsibly!
