Looking for a deliciously simple fall snack?  It can’t get any easier than this. Here's a recipe perfect for a great, healthy mid-morning snack to keep you going through out the day, or that little evening boost we all need after a tiring day at work.  Apple sandwiches not only taste great but are jam packed with protein, fiber, and crunch!

Recipes: Granola-Apple Sandwiches

Makes 2 to 3 sandwiches.

What You’ll Need:

1 medium apple
3 tablespoons nut butter (we like almond butter or peanut butter)
3 tablespoons of granola

What to Do:

  1. Slice the apple into half-inch rounds. Using a knife, spoon, or melon baller, remove the apple's core. (If you're fancy enough to have an apple corer, feel free to use that before slicing!)
  2. Spread a tablespoon of nut butter of your choice onto an apple round, top with a tablespoon of granola, and sandwich together with another apple round.
  3. Optional: sprinkle with cinnamon or replace granola with dark chocolate chips for a tasty dessert.
