Let’s take things back to 6th grade recess when double-dutch was all the playground rage. (The extent of my middle school athleticism was turning the rope while the other girls jumped.) In this promo for The Ohio State University, second year industrial design major Tori Boggs makes double-dutch look straight-up stupid. The nine-time rope-skipping world champ and two-time world record holder has brains and brawn. She’s both a member of the honors program at OSU and captain of the U.S. National Jump Rope Team, just in case you had any question about its existence. While the above clip — littered with mid-jump burpees and flips — may make you feel super unaccomplished, you don’t have to be a ninja-gymnast to get a great workout from a jump rope. Though a little coordination can’t hurt.
